Description
User Studies Research Engineer will work multi-functionally with various teams to plan and execute study protocols, assist in study setup, coordinate surveys, and collect quantitative and qualitative data. This individual will be an integral player in defining how to provide the best participant experience across our studies.
- Develop correspondence, recruit and schedule study participants
- Identify inefficiencies and streamline project-related databases and processes
- Own space utilization and coordinate study environment use, setup, and maintenance
- Manage and maintain study documents and electronic data
- Use and maintain hardware prototypes
- Facilitate one-on-one or large-group sessions individually and as a team
- Able to produce significant visualizations and summaries of the data, and optimally present results to different audiences and across multiple media formats
- Organized, highly attentive to detail, and manages time well
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with people, with an ability to build multi-functional relationships
- Ability to acquire familiarity with emergent technologies
- Strong critical thinking skills in defining new measures to evaluate user experience, study design, and research requirements
- Demonstrated success with schedules, task management, facilities, purchasing, device set-up, and day-to-day operations of the role
- Ability to work autonomously on assignments and handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity, discretion, and utmost secrecy
- Extraordinary work ethic while balancing the needs of the individuals and the business
- Experience planning and executing small to mid-range scale human/user data collection studies
- Familiarity with research methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in behavioral sciences or customer-facing professions
- 2 years experience with human subjects research
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and changes, then react with the best interest of the business in mind
- Agile Project Management
- Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
- Ability to influence others; handle conflict appropriately, know when to delegate issues upward and when to apply common sense
- Excellent written and verbal skills and strong sense of professionalism
Additional Requirements
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
