The AWS Q Business team builds new AWS services for our customers to be more productive and increase their efficiency. The AWS Q Business team is looking for software engineers who thrive on solving complex problems and relish the challenges of operating complex and mission-critical systems in a fast-paced environment. As part of the team, you will play a key role in defining and developing the next generation of applications. You will contribute to all parts of the software development lifecycle and document critical customer-facing functionalities. You possess great verbal and written communication skills, are self-driven, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment while working closely with technical leaders across AWS.

Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
