Lead Developer (NodeJS)

As a Node.js lead developer, your primary role will be to develop and execute scalable APIs and applications using the Node.js framework. You will create high-performance, efficient web applications that can handle large amounts of data and traffic for our clients.

Your roles and responsibilities as a Node.js developer will also entail working closely with the project development team and supporting designers, project managers, and front-end developers in executing the software solutions.

Objectives of this role

1. Work on building the back-end applications that power web and mobile applications.
2. Developing and implementing complex Node.js applications to the cloud infrastructure.
3. Designing and maintaining scalable and efficient APIs and integrating third-party APIs into Node.js applications.

Your tasks

1. Write an efficient, transparent, and well-documented code that meets industry regulations and standards.
2. Work collaboratively with designers, stakeholders, and product owners to define, design, and implement new features in existing software solutions.
3. Participate in performance optimization and tuning of existing Node.js applications by reviewing software code and providing constructive feedback for improvement.
4. Ensure proper adherence to privacy and security standards.
5. Stay updated with the emerging technologies and trends in Node.js development.

Required skills and qualifications

1. 8+ years of experience in developing applications using Node.js.
2. Demonstrable experience in web application development with expertise in Node.js.
3. Proficiency with front-end technologies like CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
4. Knowledge of database technologies and agile development methodologies.
5. Experience working with databases, such as MySQL or MongoDB.
6. Familiarity with web development frameworks, such as Express.js.
7. Understanding of microservices architecture and DevOps principles.
8. Excellent problem-solving and management skills.

Preferred skills and qualifications

1. Relevant certification for Node.js from a recognized organization.
2. Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure, such as AWS or Azure.
3. Familiarity with front-end development frameworks, such as React.js or AngularJS.
4. Working knowledge of test-driven development (TDD).
