Overview:

We are seeking a driven Engineer to join our Mechanical Group. In this role, you will collaborate closely with other engineering departments to support our project deliverables for capital infrastructure projects, ensuring effective communication and adherence to project timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop complete mechanical packages as part of construction packages, including writing project specifications and scopes of work.
  • Develop mechanical drawings and documents, such as equipment list, mechanical data sheets, mechanical equipment requisition documents, and other ad hoc project related tasks.
  • Perform calculations, including pipe stress analysis, to develop and specify appropriate mechanical related equipment and materials.
  • Work with Piping Department to develop the equipment arrangements, layout, and design.
  • Execute review of vendor submittals.
  • Work with vendors to ensure the appropriate equipment is specified and supplied.
  • Support laser scanning and project control activities.
  • Act as the requisitioning engineer and work with the (internal or external) procurement group.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Required knowledge of the industry design standards and codes such as ASME, ANSI, API and similar.
  • Field work required in heavy industrial environments, preferably oil & gas.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD 2D and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Knowledge of Caesar II and Pipe Flow are a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills needed to collaborate with engineers and project teams.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to accommodate dynamic project and construction schedules.
  • Must be able to travel (10-15%)
