Citizens of Humanity Group is looking for a strong fashion designer to join our AGOLDE team and continue to build the brand.
AGOLDE is recognized as a leading contemporary brand and was initially launched in 2014 with a strong Denim voice. An opportunity to join a vertical apparel brand, based in LA and highly collaborative team.
- In partnership with the Creative Director, develop seasonal concepts and product range for AGOLDE Women’s RTW
- Partner with the Design Director for Denim to create a strong seasonal collection and brand voice.
- Design and execute all RTW, including Knit’s, Fleece, and Woven’s.
- Conduct market research and identify trends.
- Collaborate with design, sales, and product development teams to brainstorm and develop new product ideas.
- Create and maintain technical drawings and specifications for products, working directly with the pattern team to create the collection.
- Conduct material research and sourcing for prototypes and final production.
- Conduct fittings and make adjustments to prototypes for optimal fit and comfort.
- Review and approve product samples for quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of design concepts, technical drawings, and product specifications.
- Assist in the development of style guides and design documentation.
- Provide guidance and support to junior designers and interns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and marketing, to ensure smooth product execution.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple calendars.
- Liaise with suppliers to source materials and components for products.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure products are manufactured to the required standard.
- Work with the sales and marketing teams to ensure products meet customer needs and are effectively promoted.
- Manage product development timelines and ensure products are delivered within to market calendar.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in fashion design or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in apparel design.
- Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
