Position Summary
RSekure is seeking a skilled 5G DevOps Engineer with mid to senior-level experience in the College Park area. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in software development and networking for full-time positions in our network system group. Candidates will work with teams to research, conceive, and develop prototypes as well as operational software. This position will be full-time at a customer facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Candidates should be adept at identifying successful approaches to complex problems.
- Projects will involve a mix of research and development and will range from applied research to advanced prototyping to development, verification, and certification of operational software.
- Solve the most difficult and complex challenges for government agencies, utilities, and commercial customers.
- Perform cybersecurity research to protect mission-critical systems and national cyberinfrastructure through a broad range of initiatives in computer network defense, secure-by-design techniques, cyber operations, and experimentation platforms.
- Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
- Submit MSRs as required.
- Monitor RSekure email on a regular basis, at least 2 times per week, and respond accordingly.
- Complete required compliance training as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills
- Ability to program in Python (or similar languages).
- Strong Linux systems skills.
- Skill utilizing 4G/5G Telecom equipment (BBUs, 4G/5G core networks, IMS).
Education and Work Experience
- 5 years relevant work experience with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience performing test automation.
- Experience with complex multi-system, cloud-native configuration management systems.
- Experience working with network equipment (routers/switches).
- Experience working with complex network configurations (VLANs, multi-cluster, multi-protocol).
- Experience with hardware clusters and associated virtualization management (Proxmox, OpenStack, etc).
Desired Certifications and Licenses
- Other relevant cyber certifications (CompTIA Sec+, Net+, etc.) are a bonus.
Special Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with a Full-Scope polygraph.
Work Environment
Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
