Job Description

In this role, you will be expected to provide testing support to the analytics team as it builds and evolves a Big Data Platform, and as analytics solutions are instantiated on top of the platform.

We are seeking SDET engineers who can lead end-to-end testing initiatives throughout the entire SDLC to develop best automation practices from test planning, design, execution, and reporting. The candidate must have at least 6 years of experience in software test tool development and experience with web service testing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

1. Programmatically test Java server-side components via unit tests, white box, performance, reliability, stress, functional, regression, and code coverage.
2. Develop test frameworks and testing tools in object-oriented languages.
3. Define test strategy, conduct requirements analysis for testability, identify scope, conduct risk and mitigation planning, configuration management planning, and write master and detailed test plans for test planning and design.

This position requires strong development experience in Java and 80% hands-on development.

Mandatory Skills:

1. BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
2. 6+ years of experience as a developer or SDET.
3. 6+ years of experience in Java or white box testing.
4. Must be able to write unit tests with frameworks JUnit, TestNG.
5. Experience with mocking frameworks (EasyMock, Mockito) and dependency injection.
6. Experience with Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Delivery practices and tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, or CruiseControl.
7. Strong knowledge of JIRA, Bamboo, Ant, Maven, Git, and Gradle.
8. Experience in testing RESTful API.
9. Experience writing automated regression, functional, white box, UAT, stress, and performance testing, code coverage.
10. Experience with open source, big data platforms.
11. Self-directed and ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
12. Capacity to learn cutting-edge technologies, become a subject matter expert, and impart knowledge to teammates.

Nice to haves:

1. Experience on open-source, Big Data platforms.
2. Experience with Data Analytics.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000.
