The Kroger Company is currently looking to hire an Sr. Fullstack Engineer on a full time, permanent basis. This opportunity offers a flexible hybrid remote/onsite work schedule and will be based in Cincinnati, OH, Charlotte, NC, Boca Raton, FL, or Chicago, IL.

Summary

:

The Sr. Fullstack Engineer will support the build of a financial forecasting application. The tech stack is Java Spring Boot on the backend, Angular on the frontend. Knowledge of Azure is helpful.

Responsibilities

:

• Participate in the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting software components in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
• Establish estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks.
• Communicate with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest quality and in accordance with standards.
• Develop a high-quality codebase, lead design discussions, execute development against design, and navigate complex codebase.
• Responsible for development implementation of technical design within a defined set of teams.
• Execute against defined technology roadmap to support project portfolio and business strategy.
• Participate in implementing enterprise standards across domains.
• Provide technical clarity between ongoing projects and the strategic objectives of the company.
• Drive digital innovation by leveraging innovative new technologies.
• Implement high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state solution.
• Lead the analysis of the technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Mentor team members in software development principles, patterns, processes, and practices.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a STEM major.
• 3+ years of experience in building complex software and automation systems in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• 3+ years of proven track record of designing and delivering large scale, high-quality systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in software or infrastructure development domain and principles.
• Strong knowledge of industry trends and competition.
• Deep knowledge in a minimum of two technical disciplines: infrastructure and network design, application development, APIs, cloud, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations.
• Understanding of network and security architecture.
• Demonstrated written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
• Proven ability to think and contribute at the strategic level.

Desired

:

• Experience in Cloud software service including designing for scale, performance, and reliability.
• Experience in system architecture.
• Capability to build, mentor, and maintain an inclusive team-based environment.
• Experience building solutions using elastic architectures (preferably Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform).
