Building Engineer

CSP is partnering with a reputable real estate investment firm to help them identify a Building Engineer to add to their team. This position will support the Chief Engineer with the day-to-day operation of two large office buildings, 450,000 sqft of office space.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor, control, and execute all routine, special and preventive maintenance programs for mechanical/electrical/life safety systems.
• Monitor and execute all routine, special, and preventative maintenance and repair duties which includes:
• Replacing light fixtures, bulbs, and ballasts
• Inspecting/adjusting HVAC components
• Door/hardware repairs, ceiling repairs
• General plumbing repairs
• Power washing
• Cleaning roof drains
• Other similar items as required
• Perform daily inspections of buildings and property.
• Ensure the mechanical areas, shops, and storage areas are always clean and neat with unused equipment and supplies properly stored and accounted for.
• Supervise/oversee the work of outside contractors.
• Interact with and be responsive to tenant and customer needs and requests in a professional manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma /GED
• 1-3 years of experience as a building engineer with commercial property management and maintenance duties
• Detail-oriented with time management and problem-solving skills
• High degree of motivation and strong commitment to goals
• Versatility to adjust to new tasks as they arise
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position including:
• Lifting - up to 50 pounds
• Climbing ladders
