An aerospace client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who designs a sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
Location: Goleta, CA 93117 (Onsite)
Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Pay Rate : $43.15/hr. on W2 (DOE)
Duration : 9 months or longer
Schedule : 9/80
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
- May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Develops manufacturing processes that apply to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
- Guides engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensures processes and procedures comply with regulations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Minimum of a BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 2+ experience required.
- Thorough mechanically / electrically oriented manufacturing engineering experience (ideally in the Aerospace industry).
- Completed a significant manufacturing engineering project, ideally one where they led a team to accomplish the individual project tasks.
- Need to have problem-solving experience, even better to be green belt or black belt certified.
