About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and skilled Cost Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in using Accubid Classic and possess exceptional negotiation skills. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for various projects, ensuring competitive pricing, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate Estimating: Prepare detailed and precise cost estimates using Accubid Classic.
• Thorough Analysis: Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive estimates.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure all project aspects are considered.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and opportunities within the estimating process and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
• Vendor Evaluation: Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitive pricing.
• Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on market trends, pricing, and construction methodologies.
• Field Work: Conduct job walk downs and pre-bid meetings, with occasional travel.
• Clear Communication: Present estimates in a clear and concise manner.
• Project Transition: Participate in post-bid reviews and project handovers to ensure a smooth transition.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in estimating.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in the industrial and municipal sectors preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Accubid Classic and Microsoft products.
• Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication and attention to detail.
