The DevOps Engineer will be reporting to our Senior Engineer and working closely with deployment, optimization and act as the go-to expert on the infrastructure. This engineer will work closely with our engineering team to make sure we have an efficient support process and projects are getting done on time.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that a viable, consistent, and efficient DevOps strategy is implemented in the end-to-end development of applications and products that is consistent with, compliant with and conformant to the company's SDLC.
- Improve and integrate existing architecture with the industry-best automation tools and practices.
- Collaborate with product manager(s), development leads, developers, QA, and Engineering teams in the continual improvement and enhancement of the DevOps process.
- Analyze, design, and implement solutions for CI/CD build, release, and deployment automation.
- Institute and implement automated solutions for SDLC governance and compliance monitoring and reporting.
- Plan, implement and ensure that delivery milestones are met.
- Managing our Production and non-Production environments.
- Provide automation solutions using design patterns, common techniques, and industry best practices that meet the typical challenges/requirements of Ecommerce applications including usability, performance, security, resiliency, and compatibility.
- Proactively recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions.
- Monitoring automation; make sure that the correct monitors are deployed at the application level so that any failures can be quickly detected and repaired.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- We’re looking for someone who is driven, intelligent, proactive, detail-oriented, personable, and who can multitask on several projects.
- BS or higher in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience.
- 3+ years experience in a DevOps role.
- Proficiency with scripting, automating, and deploying in the Cloud, in particular AWS services.
- Experience building and managing infrastructure on a wide array of AWS products (EC2, EKS, RDS, SQS, S3, CloudWatch, etc).
- Hands-on administration and/or software development; strong problem diagnostic and debugging skills.
- Practical knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated, able to build and sustain long-term relationships with business and colleagues.
- Can manage multiple tasks and use judgment to prioritize and escalate to achieve desired outcomes.
- Process and detail oriented with a strong work ethic and team focused attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year depending on experience

Experience:
