The Industrial Engineer provides general support to both manufacturing and administration areas utilizing a good knowledge of the concepts, practices, and procedures of industrial & process engineering. Responsibility to plan and gather information for capacity, methods improvements, layouts, energy, and cost reduction. With supervisory guidance, correlate, perform calculations, analyze, and present in report and/or oral format. Analyze production processes, productivity measures, scrap generation, etc. and determine ways to improve these measures and other workplace methods. Performs any other related functions that would contribute to the growth and profit of Carlisle Construction Materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cost reduction/productivity improvements - assist other areas in identifying, analyzing and carrying to completion cost reduction or productivity improvement projects.
- Perform capacity, methods, or cost analyses. Gather data, correlate, perform calculations, analyze and present in report form.
- Facilities Planning - perform duties outlined. In addition, gather layout data, correlate, perform calculations, analyze, and using CAD, develop layout and present for review.
- Assist in development of ACE justifications, do time studies, build computer skills, evaluate new software, support miscellaneous purchases for ACEs.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering
Equivalency:
- Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing/Process Engineering
Experience:
- 3-5 years industrial engineering work in a manufacturing environment.
