Marathon TS Data Engineer - TS/SCI Bethesda, MD or Arlington, VA
Marathon TS is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) under the 10-year DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) contract. Responsibilities:
- Perform database builds, installs, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting (e.g., MariaDB/MySQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Qdrant, Milvus, etc.)
- Ensure data integrity by employing data engineering best practices
- Maintain database and data pipeline documentation, data dictionaries, and system diagrams
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of relevant experience or Master's with 10 years. Additional experience considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases like MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, FAISS, Milvus, Qdrant, etc.
- Design and maintain ETL and ELT pipelines using technologies such as Spark, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Argocd, Metaflow, Kubeflow, etc.
- Experience with DevOps/MLOps, CI/CD methodology, cloud-native deployment paradigms
- Must hold TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Database design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, performance tuning, optimization
- Data profiling techniques, data quality, business perspective
- Data quality and accuracy evaluation techniques
- Agile practices
- Development experience with Python
- Data model development, modification, migration, maintenance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiastic team player, self-starter working independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Experience supporting data teams and data scientists
- Production/enterprise system experience
- Experience in air-gapped environments
- Application development and deployment in an AWS environment
- AWS certifications
