Cyber Security Project Engineer with Security Clearance

Job Summary: Cyber Operations – Incident Response

Note: This job requires an existing Top Secret Clearance and Polygraph.

Experience Needed:

1. Citizenship: Must Be a US Citizen
2. Existing Clearance Required: Active Top Secret SCI with Poly
3. Expert Level of Experience
4. Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
5. Proficiency in network security principles, protocols, and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, etc.)
6. Proficiency in endpoint security principles and technologies (Antivirus/Anti–malware software, Host–based Intrusion Detection Systems, EDR, etc.)
7. Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) and their security mechanisms
8. Experience using a SIEM for log aggregation, correlation, and analysis
9. Experience with incident response, and incident response tools, frameworks, and life cycle
10. Experience with query languages
11. Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK Framework, adversary TTPs, and threat intelligence
12. Knowledge of malware analysis techniques and tools
13. Demonstrated experience in IT best practices regarding application, enterprise system, and network security
14. Ability to create and maintain documentation to include internal processes, procedures, relevant instructions, policies, and guidance
15. Ability to be on call for incident response
16. Strong technical writing skills
17. Strong analytical and problem–solving skills to investigate and resolve security incidents
18. Strong attention to detail to identify security vulnerabilities and anomalies
19. Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, management, and other stakeholders
20. Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies

Desired Skills:

1. Security Certifications to include CISA, SSCP, CEH, CAP, GCIH, ECIH, CASP+, SEC+
2. Cloud Security Certifications in AWS and Azure
3. Experience with driving cloud security engineering
4. Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for automation and scripting tasks
5. Experience with implementing automation mechanisms within a SIEM, CSP, or an enterprise environment
