Compensation includes a base salary of $77,800.00 - $116,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Cox Automotive is hiring for a Software Test Engineer II who will be responsible for a range of testing activities including designing and maintaining test frameworks, implementing industry best practices, and identifying process gaps where automation can enhance efficiency. This role requires an individual who actively seeks to improve existing frameworks, suites, and processes across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in agile team activities such as providing input into story sizing, backlog refinement, and release planning.
- Participate in ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.
- Engage in the engineering community, staying up to date on new testing technologies and best practices, and share insights with others in the organization.
- Implement testing automation, test data management strategy, and test automation frameworks.
- Develop new or maintain existing test automation frameworks for all applications that automation currently supports.
- Coordinate test automation activities across supported applications.
- Establish processes to continually review and select manual test cases for automation test suites.
- Provide metrics on code coverage for automated test suites.
- Partner with feature developers and other automation engineers to build tools and infrastructure to ensure production code is thoroughly tested to the highest standards.
- Provide domain knowledge of practices related to resilience, performance, security, and similar topics to assist our engineering teams in delivering reliable, high-performance, and secure servers to our visitors and partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or other engineering discipline), and 2+ years experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 year's experience; or 14 years' experience in a related field.
- 3+ years of software testing, automation, or software development experience.
- Knowledge in integrating automated testing with CI/CD processes.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries is a must.
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with API testing is a must.
- Knowledge in cloud technologies.
- Understanding of Agile QA concepts, practices, processes, and tools.
- Passion for delivering high-quality products to clients.
- Working experience in unit, functional, and integration testing.
- Good understanding of industry development, testing processes, deployment processes, and agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication, time management, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
