Our team Fusion Release Engineering (FRE) is a central portfolio team for Fusion Applications Development that specializes in automation frameworks and continuous integration between Fusion Applications, Middleware and RDBMS. We specialize in SaaS and Cloud automation as well as server-side abstraction frameworks. We are seeking dynamic people to join this high-profile, agile development team to own the planning, execution, and delivery of customer implementations of Oracle Cloud projects.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a member of a software development or product development team
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills with peers and leadership team members
- Ability to work in ambiguity, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks
- Knowledgeable in cloud architecture and security policies
- Knowledgeable in SaaS/PaaS based cloud native enterprise application products
- Work in an agile DevOps continuous delivery development environment with geographically distributed teams is highly desired
Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
As Senior DevOps engineer you will be partnering with various organizations, development, IT and Global Security, and drive technical solutions within the CI/CD pipeline and other tools utilized by the Fusion Applications development teams.
You will play an active role in the setup of OCI infrastructure, configurations and automation of system environments and processes.
In your role you will act as a leader and help mentor junior level team members on various DevOps related activities, e.g. Monitoring, troubleshooting.
Plan, execute and improve patching and security activities on thousands of OCI based instances and other services.
Frequently scan infrastructure to security and update inventory.
You will take on some technical program management projects as well, forecasting future infrastructure budgets and other activities.
You will be part of a team which is responsible to ensure the product life cycle and CI/CD pipeline, processes and tools are enhanced and performing to highest SLA standards.
Engage with Global Security and IT teams to analyze and define best practices for security, performance, and cloud infrastructure.
Technical Skills
- Expert in troubleshooting OS and application issues on all IaaS layers (Application, Data, Runtime, Middleware, O/S), investigating application as well as Operation System performance issues.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux.
- Knowledge of monitoring systems with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios.
- Must have programming/scripting experience: Java, Python, Perl, bash-scripting, with Rest API knowledge.
- Excellent written and documentation skills.
- Excellence of understanding and applying of security standard and best practices.
- Must have Cloud knowledge – OCI (preferred), AWS or Azure.
- Strong hands-on work knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes and other DevOps solutions.

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
