Required Skills and Experience
• 4+ years of engineering experience specifically working in hydraulic modeling
• 2+ years of experience with system planning in the utility industry
• Prior simulation experience
• Prior experience working in the natural gas or gas and oil industry
• Graduated from ABET credited program or 12+ years of professional engineering experience
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
• Experience in DNV's Synergi Gas software or other hydraulic modeling software such as WinFlow, Pipe Studio or Greg
• EIT registration or PE license
Job Description
- Interprets and creates hydraulic models of the gas network including items such as compressors, storages, regulators, and gas quality
- Evaluates a network model of a gas system and makes decisions based off of that model
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive long-range plan for infrastructure replacement and upgrades
- Provides support for questions related to supply, demand, pressure and capacity on the distribution and/or transmission systems
