The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Lead, Systems Workflow Engineer reporting to the Director, Program Controller.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida
The Systems Workflow Engineer, Product Development is responsible for the stability, efficiency, and integrity of the systems workflows for Royal Product Development and Private Destinations. The Systems Workflows Engineer will provide leadership, management, and governance to support the organizations’ business objectives through the oversight of all systems workflows for all projects.
The Systems Workflows Engineer will be responsible for identifying and communicating concerns, issues, and risks that could impact project/program delivery for Royal Product Development and Private Destinations once they become known. The Systems Workflows Engineer will work with Power Users, Managers, Directors, and Vice Presidents to ensure accurate program system workflows to Royal Product Development and Private Destinations.
The Systems Workflows Engineer will enforce department policies and work with team members to improve systems workflows and use of tools as required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the design, documentation, implementation, and integration of systems and tools with our internal RCG IT group.
- Responsible for the communication, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues with RCG IT, software vendors, and internal power users.
- The Systems Workflow Engineer will monitor and maintain systems, including performing system upgrades and capacity planning. Adding and removing users. Handling system audit requests to maintain system audit compliance.
- The Systems Workflow Engineer will install, configure, and test systems and system management tools.
- The Systems Workflow Engineer will work with internal power users to define system functionality.
- The Systems Workflow Engineer will collaborate with RCG IT, applicable software vendors, power users, and other RCG Corporate resources to ensure high-quality systems operations and workflows.
- The Systems Workflow Engineer will communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Provides strategies to Management for addressing internal team constraint roadblocks (executing actions relative to the accountability of the role).
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining policies and procedures to improve the adequacy and efficiency of department’s systems workflows (executing actions relative to the accountability of the role).
- Responsible for initiating and executing intra-departmental communication and improvement activities to ensure maximum alignment (executing actions relative to the accountability of the role).

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in computer science, software architecture, computer engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant experience designing, implementing and integrating systems. Working knowledge of Autodesk, SmartSheet, Microsoft Office Suite, and Slack.
- Knowledge of methodologies such as agile, scrum, and/or kaizen.
- Demonstrates a certain degree of creativity combined with analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to understand and explain complex/technical statements in layman's terms.
- Proven ability to drive results.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- 5 - 10 years of professional experience in the cruise industry preferable.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under little supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work with confidential material.
