Designer/Drafter Job Locations US-WA-Kennewick | US-GA-Kennesaw | US-IL-Naperville | US-TX-Fort Worth | US-SC-Aiken | US-KS-Overland Park ID 2024-2630 Category Drafting/Design Position Type Full-Time Overview Our ENERCON Federal Services team is seeking a Drafter/Designer to join the team based in our Kennewick, WA, Aiken, SC, Fort Worth, TX, Overland Park, KS, Naperville, IL, or Kennesaw, GA office location. In this role, you will provide meaningful impact in the world of engineering from preparing design drawings to providing mentorship to other team members. Responsibilities Prepare accurate layout and detail drawings of parts, assemblies, and related items on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity Support engineers with any changes to drawings Prepare design drawings, including piping isometrics, single line drawings, P&ID's and pipe support drawings Understand and follow all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives Conduct self-checks of created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product May review the work of other designers/drafters and provide mentoring and leadership Meet applied time goals set for position/discipline Work independently of engineers but confer with engineers and other designers for design concept interpretation Qualifications Associate's Degree with minimum 6 years of experience, HS 10+, or Bachelor's Degree in related field with minimum 2 years of design experience Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs Ability to utilize applications to prepare engineering drawings Knowledge in the practices of an engineering discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to various aspects of design Ability to travel for short trips to get badged (on an as needed basis) Advanced knowledge of design software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation Preferred 3D experience in one or more of the following software: Plant3D, SmartPlant, Solidworks, Inventor, and/or Revit (not required) Must be a US Citizen #LI-SH7 Salary Range The salary range for this full-time position is below. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Pay Range USD $65,000.00 - USD $96,000.00 /Yr.
