We are looking for a Principal Frontend Developer to join us a very dynamic AI start-up with World class team, including the folks that built Microsoft Bing, Microsoft AdCenter, Overture, and Execs from Meta, Google, etc. You will build web applications on top of a data platform that incorporate graph theory, natural language processing and machine learning to solve hot and hard problems such as clarifying user intent, identifying consumer journeys, and inferencing user location, to name a few. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust and highly performant web applications
- Translate wireframes from the Design team into solid code
- Understand and follow best practices for developing secure code and protecting data
- Collaborate with Revenue and Product Delivery teams to contribute to new use cases for solving problems for customers and clients
- Participate in IP creation, such as patenting, case studies, white papers and research papers as determined by business needs
Qualifications
- 7+ years of programming experience with Typescript building commercial applications with demonstrable impact and proven track record
- 3+ years of experience with NextJS, React, HTML 5, CSS 3
- Self-starter, capable of experimentation and developing code from scratch
- Excellent knowledge of JavaScript object generation paradigms (singleton, factory etc.), communicating with asynchronous services, websockets programming, push/pull data approaches
- Demonstrable knowledge of cognitive design principles in designing UI for information dissemination
- Working knowledge of modern distributed application development principles including REST API usage, reliability, performance
- Must know how to resolve Browser compatibility issues
- Working knowledge of diverse widget toolkits like Bootstrap, D3, Kendo, JQuery, ExtJS, Dojo
- Knowledge of NodeJS would be a plus
- Familiar with agile development methodologies, unit testing, version control, continuous integration and software deployment
- Ability to contribute to code owned by a team. Superior diagnostic skills including debugging others’ code is a must
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- MS or BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent is required for this position
