SUBSTATION ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities:
- Work within a multi-discipline team to develop and prepare efficient and reliable electrical design packages for medium and high voltage substations.
- Perform calculations and analysis to validate design solutions and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Collaborate with the project team, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, to develop innovative design solutions
- Review and approve contractor submittals and drawings to ensure adherence to project specifications
- Conduct site visits and inspections during construction to monitor progress and address any design-related issues
- Provide technical support to field personnel, answering questions and resolving technical problems as they arise
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of substation design engineering experience
- Experience in the power utility field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- PE license a plus
- Experience with high and medium voltage
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field

Hybrid work locations available in Albany, NY, Binghamton, NY, Rochester, NY, Augusta, ME or Orange, CT
Salary:
$72,000 - $157,000- commensurate with experience
