We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer II to support a state-owned high rise building in Los Angeles to provide oversight on a wide variety of projects for our Facilities Management Division (FMD).

As a Chief Engineer II you will be responsible for:
- Understanding the mechanical features of high-rise buildings
- Supervising the work of varied Trades staff responsible for performing maintenance and building repairs of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, and mechanical controls
- Ensuring that all projects performed on the building are properly planned, executed, and closed out in accordance with standard DGS policies
- Providing oversight of the Building Automation System and Enterprise Building Integration system
- Reviewing designs, calculating costs, administrating contracts, assisting with SOW/project cost sheets review and development
- Managing and tracking preventative maintenance using Maximo software
- Assigning prioritized work orders to engineering and trades staff
- Ensuring that compliance with all regulatory laws, codes, and guidelines are met as they relate to the operation of the building infrastructure
- Alerting management of building discrepancies
This position prefers possession of an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 608 Technician Certificate and is eligible to receive EPA Section 608 Technician Certification differential pay.
