PROPRIUS is working with a Pleasanton, CA area based company to add a Principal Solutions Engineer to their growing Data Analytics Product team. This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded global company with over 45 years experience in their niche.
The Role:
As a Principal Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with sales, customers, development, marketing, design, and product teams to create business solutions that help our client's customers be more productive and profitable. Our clients deliver analytic content and big data solutions over the cloud to its end customers which is based on broad scale aggregation of data across entire industry ecosystems – including electrical distribution, automotive, and home improvement.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Development of analytic product packages with the primary focus on matching the final user experience to a business user case
- Working with other companies regarding implementation, integration, configuration, and customization of the product or solution.
- Ability to solve and debug potential issues without having the exact idea of how it works but can improvise on the fly
- Perform research, analysis, and modeling on industry aggregate data and primary responsibility for the predictive analytics content results
- Investigate and integrate new analytics technology and new data sources
The Candidate:
To be considered for the Principal Solutions Engineer role, you ideally will possess direct experience building, deploying, and supporting large scale analytics solutions.
In addition, it’s essential that you possess the following:
- Business, management, sales and technical knowledge
- An entrepreneurial and problem-solving mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/statistics or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Expert level experience in one or more analytics front end toolsets such as MicroStrategy, PowerBI, or Tableau.
- Experience analyzing large datasets using SQL and/or Python
- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling design principles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ultimately, you could be a great fit for this role if you can prove that you can work cross functionally with other departments to deliver exactly what our customers need to make better business decisions.
The Package:
The salary for the Principal Solutions Engineer is up to $140,000 per year for the perfect candidate. In addition, there is a bonus potential that paid 125% this year!
