We have an immediate need for an experienced engineer to lead highway design tasks on some of our most exciting projects in Ohio and help continue to grow our thriving highway practice and develop our team of junior engineers.
What You'll Do:
- Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
- Assist in the development of project specifications.
- Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
- Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
- Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
- Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
- Performs quality control reviews of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
- Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or
- Master’s degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or
- PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.
Primary Focus Will Include:
- Design of highway facilities
- Development of plans, specifications and other contract documents for transportation projects
- Development of junior staff
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or eligible to obtain
- Knowledge of Bentley Software (Microstation, ORD) and Autodesk
- 5 years relevant experience in design and development of highway plans for ODOT

The approximate pay range for Ohio is $79,356.08 - $124,121.05. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
