The Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health Groups gather support for critical R&D activities through the Neuro Core R&D organization which brings a large set of Medtronic’s Neurosciences therapies and their project teams together in a collaborative operating unit to employ the full breadth of our talent, technologies, products, services, and solutions to address the needs of customers and patients across the globe. Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health operating units offer devices and therapies to treat chronic pain, movement disorders, overactive bladder, non-obstructive urinary retention, and much more!
Be on the frontlines of the emerging area of medical device data protection, cybersecurity, and privacy as an integral member and technical leader within a team responsible for creating, deploying, and monitoring cybersecurity and privacy solutions for Medtronic’s medical devices and supporting IT infrastructure. Work directly with R&D teams to ensure all relevant security threats, data protection, and privacy risks are identified and evaluated, and appropriate and well-balanced solutions are implemented. Develop project privacy cybersecurity management deliverables for regulatory bodies to comply with standards/guidance documents, and successfully communicate data protection security policies, processes, and solutions to customers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Performs security assessments of company products that may include vulnerability and risk assessments, threat analysis, and security code reviews to identify potential design and implementation vulnerabilities.
- Designs and develops security features for products including systems, applications and/or solutions.
- Integrates new security features and updates into existing products and ensures the security of all products is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provides product security engineering recommendations and resolves integration and testing issues.
- Builds a standardized set of security product requirements and produces metrics to report performance against those requirements.
- Reviews and defines security diagnostics and tools to facilitate the analysis and reporting of security events.
- Detects and mitigates security risks, responds to product security incidents, and works with customers regarding product security related issues.
- Leads or participates in security architecture and design review meetings.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a technically related field required
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

- Experience with Implementation and Management of MDM and MAM Solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.

- Product Security Experience
- Embedded Security Experience

- Security Certification (CISSP, OCSP, SEC+...)
- Threat Modeling Experience (STRIDE)
- Experience with Security Frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 81001-5-1, NIST, etc.)
- Strong understanding of mobile security best practices and industry standards.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $123,200.00 - $184,800.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
