Senior IT Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior IT Engineer to help support our HQ Foster City office and global infrastructure. This position will report directly to our Associate Director of IT Operations and be an integral part of our global IT organization. This candidate is focused on resolving advanced technical issues, troubleshooting underlying problems, and helping develop long-term solutions/processes. This position will be the main point of contact for technical issues.

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to architecture, design, implementation, and operations using cloud-first solutions (e.g., OKTA, Office 365, Microsoft Entra, Intune, Anti-Spam).
• Manage and support basic and advanced networking (DHCP, Firewall, Switch, and Domain Controllers – Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Ubiquiti, PAN, Juniper Mist) and corporate devices (Printers, Zoom Rooms, VoIP phones, Kiosks).
• Create automation using Okta workflows, MS Power Automate.
• Account provisioning/deprovisioning.
• Employee lifecycle.
• Access/Permission requests.
• API integration with other systems/apps.
• Participate in IT strategy planning activities, bringing current knowledge and future vision of infrastructure technology and systems and best practices to meet business needs.
• Assist with laptop and mobile device configuration and asset management.
• Support and manage AV systems such as Zoom/Teams, scheduling software and hardware, and Mac/Windows devices.
• Network and Firewall support.
• Conduct incident resolution and root cause analysis for various incidents and outages including account compromises, critical vulnerabilities, etc.
• Support requests coming from multiple different time zones.
• Work closely with the IT support team and be a technical escalation point.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in a Senior IT Technical/Engineering role.
• Very strong technical knowledge of architecture, design, implementation, and operations using cloud-first solutions (e.g., OKTA, Office 365, Zoom, Azure Active Directory, Intune, Anti-Spam).
• Strong networking skills with experience in DHCP, firewall configuration, and domain controllers (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Meraki) and any VoIP solutions.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams, customers, and external vendors.
• Proficiency in API integration, automation scripting, and database knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and across multiple time zones to handle on-call duties.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Support all company events, all-hands meetings, special events, and FDA audits.
• Candidate will wear multiple hats, supporting all facets of IT.
• Database administration and script writing a plus.
• NIST or knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks a plus.
