Must Haves
- Associates or bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Math, Physics, or other related technical degree
Plusses
- Understand electrical drawings & site plans (commercial, industrial, highway drawings)
- Softwares: ArcFM Designer, SAP, MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of Engineering Guides, Construction Standards, National Electric Safety Code, NBIC and ASME
Day to Day
Insight Global is looking for a distribution, engineering, & technology technician. The essential functions of this role include: performing analytical tasks related to design, construction, maintenance, and operations of electrical power distribution facilities. Some projects this candidate would be supporting include distribution facility design, relocation of existing distribution facilities, and distribution system improvements (minor expansions, conversions, rebuilds). In this role, the technician would also be creating work orders, job sketches, material lists, & cost estimates. This person would update GIS systems for new job, damage to the property, and error correction based on field information.
