ManTech has a need for a Forensics Software Engineer to work in Herndon, Virginia on a project that has high visibility and has been well received by the US Government. We are looking for someone to create new capabilities for processing mobile application forensic data, supporting mobile forensic work that is unique and unavailable in other IC jobs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Reverse engineering mobile software applications to identify and understand significant forensic artifacts.
  2. Developing software modules to process mobile application forensic data using Python.
  3. Contributing to enhancement and improvement of current software modules; adding new features, fixing bugs.
  4. Developing new software solutions based on team tasking.
  5. Leveraging your own creative license and the freedom to solve technical challenges.
  6. Taking ownership of your area of responsibility and increasing capabilities that you think push the mission forward.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  2. 2+ years experience with digital forensics or reverse engineering.
  3. 2+ years experience with coding in Python, C, C++, C#/.NET or Java.
  4. Ability to demonstrate effective organizational, verbal and written communication, and critical-thinking skills.
  5. Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
  6. Ability to leverage creativity to provide solutions to complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Mobile forensics experience.
  2. Mobile application development (Android, iOS).

Security Clearance Requirements:

  1. Active/current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance after hire.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  2. Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  3. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
