Senior Data Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in our Chicago office. In this role, you will be a part of a team responsible for building and maintaining new and existing systems for data extraction, transformation, and ML signals research.

The systems you could work on include:

1. Real-time data ingestion systems necessary for our production trading systems
2. Data processing and extraction tools and frameworks, such as our company-wide data lake
3. Signals research tools and frameworks
4. Data quality validation and monitoring

Experience:

1. 10+ years of full-time software development experience with Python. Experience with Java or C++ is a plus.
2. 3+ years of experience working on real-time systems with production support responsibilities
3. A history of building software effectively, using automated tests
4. Experience in finance is beneficial, but not required
