Data Engineer

Fully Remote position for a talented Data Engineer. Must be located in the U.S. and support PST.

Your mission? To empower our Strategic Planning team with a comprehensive, user-configurable market model that delivers detailed insights and forecasts, enabling them to make informed decisions and drive business growth.

As a Data Engineer, you will join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in revolutionizing our Strategic Planning activities. You will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in data ingestion, modeling, and visualization to create cutting-edge automated data pipelines and interactive data tools.

Duration: 5+ month – W2 contract
Location: Remote from United States
Hours: Core PST
Pay Rate Range: ($45-50/hr for minimum qualifications, a higher rate is negotiable DOE – plus benefits. The offered compensation to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include (but are not limited to) the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement efficient data ingestion pipelines to seamlessly integrate various data sources, including volume, ASPs, costs, customer information, capacity forecasts, form factor projections, and industry analyst reports.
2. Develop robust data models that capture the intricacies of our business, allowing for flexible configuration and scenario analysis.
3. Craft user-friendly dashboards and data visualization tools, empowering our Strategic Planners to explore data from multiple perspectives, such as customer, product, NAND type, ASIC type, and market share analysis.
4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations and Finance, to ensure data accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
5. Continuously enhance and optimize data processes, leveraging best practices and cutting-edge technologies to drive efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications:

1. Proven expertise in data modeling, with a deep understanding of database design principles and data warehousing concepts.
2. 2+ years of experience in SQL, with proficiency in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance.
3. Hands-on experience in implementing ETL or ELT processes, preferably using Azure Data Factory or Apache Airflow.
4. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure ecosystem and cloud-based data solutions (desired).
