Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will assist the Project Managers and field teams in planning, organizing, and overseeing construction projects to ensure they are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role serves as a technical resource to the project team, ensuring proper coordination between the design and execution phases. The Project Engineer will focus on maintaining clear communication, resolving technical issues, and supporting all aspects of project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Coordination:
    Assist in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets. Support the Project Manager in monitoring project progress and ensuring timelines are met. Assist in the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure project alignment with design and scope.
  2. Documentation and Compliance:
    Maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and company standards. Review plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accuracy and constructability.
  3. Technical Support:
    Assist with technical support to the field teams, troubleshooting any design-related or construction issues. Work closely with the Project Manager to resolve any unforeseen technical challenges that arise during the project lifecycle. Assist in the procurement of materials and services, ensuring timely delivery to meet project schedules.
  4. Communication:
    Facilitate communication between the project team, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are clearly understood. Attend project meetings, provide updates on project status, and address any technical questions or concerns.
  5. Quality Control:
    Assist in monitoring construction activities to ensure adherence to design, schedule, and quality standards. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify potential risks or delays.
  6. Cost Management:
    Assist the Project Manager in reviewing and tracking project budgets, invoices, and costs. Support the preparation of cost estimates and assist with budget management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction, engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software.
  • Knowledge of construction documents, contracts, and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in HVAC is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
