Position Summary:
As a Project Engineer (PE) at Weis Builders, you will play a pivotal role in the success of every project by acting as the central hub of communication between the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, client, and architect. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build lasting relationships, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the continued growth of Weis Builders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build strong relationships with clients, architects, and vendors to facilitate future planning and contribute to Weis Builders' ongoing growth
  2. Preconstruction/Project Start-Up: Assist with material take-offs, gather subcontractor and supplier quotes, prepare project schedules, and assist with subcontractor award processes
  3. Construction Management: Implement cost and time-saving measures, obtain necessary permits, assist with field start-up activities, generate reports as needed, manage the submittal process, and submit weekly OFIs (Opportunities for Improvement) for future projects
  4. Post-Construction: Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to obtain final closeout documents, prepare project records for storage, and assist with warranty follow-ups
  5. General Responsibilities: Develop a solid understanding of building codes and design principles, continually improve technical and managerial skills, and assist in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
