Job Title: Systems Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a Systems Engineer with strong experience taking hardware/software centric implantable medical devices to productization. This person will be the right hand to the Lead Systems Engineer. This person will be responsible for coordinating development efforts between internal development team along with third party vendors. This individual will need a strong foundation in standard Systems Engineering Principals. They need to have a core understanding of how hardware development is done and how it interacts with firmware/software. This individual will need to be extremely detail oriented as they will be the main reviewer of all systems related documentation. The product that this person will be focused on is an implantable pulse generator that they are moving from R&D into commercialization. This person will need to have a strong understanding of how implantable electronic devices work so that they can be the point person/ systems engineer that is coordinating all technical aspects of the development process.
Qualifications
BS in Engineering or other technical discipline.
Experience in development of complex systems with multiple subsystems
Good understanding of project management, design control and change control procedures
Strong engineering problem solving skills and the ability to perform complex engineering analysis
Strong interpersonal skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience with Class III medical devices
• Technical background in implantable medical device design, manufacturing, mechanical and electronic assembly processes.
• Good technical writing skills and communications skills. Good computer skills.
