Job Requirements / Description
MARQ4 is the Automation division of the Marquardt Group. The Sales Engineer reports to the Director of Industrialization and will be responsible for increasing our customer base and managing existing customer accounts across a variety of industries. The Sales Engineer will be responsible to secure, maintain, and grow the sales value of the group. The Sales Engineer will be expected to explain the overall concept and technical details of Assembly Lines, Automation, and End of Line Testers, as per the specification / quote.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plan for industrial equipment
- Achieve annual sales target
- Ensure quality and overall integrity of RFQ responses
- Report account status and escalate issues when necessary to appropriate leadership
- Research and analyze the local landscape to identify new customers
- Support the development of market intelligence; including white spot analysis , customer roadmaps, market trends, and competitor understanding
- Assist in the quoting activities and negotiations
- Work with internal Marketing resources to promote the MARQ4 name
- Collaborate with regional (and occasionally global) teams for alignment in pursuit of business success exhibiting entrepreneurial skills
- Identify, maintain and track key KPIs
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field - preferred
- Technical understanding of Industrial Assembly and Testing Equipment
- 3+ years’ of experience in sales
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple functions
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP Software is preferred
- Ability to create a sense of community amongst members of the project team and cross-functional teams
- Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including group presentation for large and small groups made up of project teams, management, and customers
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, sales representatives, managers, employees, and the public
Travel:
- Ability to travel domestically ~20% and internationally < 1% as needed
