Description

The main responsibilities of the Sustaining Engineering Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and analyze product performance, identify improvement areas, and implement necessary changes.
  • Provide technical support to resolve product issues in collaboration with quality assurance and manufacturing teams.
  • Develop and implement design modifications to enhance product reliability and performance.
  • Maintain detailed records of design changes, test results, and product performance data.
  • Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth product updates and improvements.
  • Address customer inquiries and technical issues, delivering timely and effective solutions.
  • Ensure all products adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Profile

The successful Sustaining Engineering Manager will have the following qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-7 years in product sustaining engineering, ideally in the connector industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Creo software, understanding of connector design and manufacturing processes, and familiarity with industry standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience: Familiarity with FMEA, GD&T, and RCCA processes.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with tight tolerance injection-molded products.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards.
