Description
The main responsibilities of the Sustaining Engineering Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor and analyze product performance, identify improvement areas, and implement necessary changes.
- Provide technical support to resolve product issues in collaboration with quality assurance and manufacturing teams.
- Develop and implement design modifications to enhance product reliability and performance.
- Maintain detailed records of design changes, test results, and product performance data.
- Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth product updates and improvements.
- Address customer inquiries and technical issues, delivering timely and effective solutions.
- Ensure all products adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Profile
The successful Sustaining Engineering Manager will have the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-7 years in product sustaining engineering, ideally in the connector industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Creo software, understanding of connector design and manufacturing processes, and familiarity with industry standards.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience: Familiarity with FMEA, GD&T, and RCCA processes.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with tight tolerance injection-molded products.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards.
