Insight Global is seeking a Lead RFIC/ASIC Design Engineer to join a world-renowned technology company specializing in custom ASICs for precision instruments. In this role, you will lead the development of advanced RFICs and ASICs with a primary focus on analog-heavy designs utilizing BiCMOS technology . As part of a 30-person team, you will contribute throughout the full IC production lifecycle , from concept to testing and integration, delivering custom solutions that provide a unique competitive advantage in test and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • RFIC/ASIC Design and Development:
  • Lead the design and implementation of RFICs and custom ASICs , with an emphasis on BiCMOS technology .
  • Create and optimize analog and mixed-signal IC blocks , including PLLs, LDOs, band gaps, and buffers.
  • Specification and Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with product teams to define and align ASIC specifications with product performance needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful design outcomes and seamless product integration.
  • End-to-End IC Production:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of IC development, including tape-out, testing, and verification .
  • Characterize and optimize designs to meet performance goals, ensuring integration between blocks functions smoothly.
  • Database Management and Pin Configuration:
  • Maintain accurate design databases and oversee pin management to ensure smooth communication between IC components.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting:
  • Develop testing protocols and perform validation on custom ASICs to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Utilize proprietary processes and specialized BiCMOS techniques to enhance analog design performance.



Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in BiCMOS technology and analog-heavy RFIC/ASIC design.
  • Proven ability to design and implement mixed-signal IC blocks and integrate them seamlessly within larger systems.
  • Hands-on experience with IC characterization, multiple tape-outs, and block-level design.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and testing methodologies.
