Job Summary:
The CNC Machinist III produces machined parts bysetting upand operating a computernumerical control (CNC) machine,maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records andmaintaining equipment and supplies.
Essential Functions:
Understandwork orders,blueprints,manufacturing orders, and machining parameters
Validate material used
Maintain specifications; Troubleshoot, detectmalfunctionsand takeappropriate actions; Know when to replace worntools
Listen to machiningoperationin order todetect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problems
Measure dimensions of finishedwork pieces to ensure conformance to specificationsusing precision measuring instruments, templates,fixturesandknowledge of GDT standards
Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions taken thus far as well as anynecessary further steps
Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Non-Essential Functions :
- Maintain conscientious work behaviors includingwork ethic, safety standards, quality, costs, and On-Time Delivery (OTD)
Minimum Qualifications :
Experience: 5+ yearofexperiencemachiningwith CNCMills and/orLathe
Knowledge:Knowledge of various inspection equipmenti.e.micrometers, calipers, and height gages;Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations;Knowledge of GeometricDimensionalTolerancing;Understanding of cutting tool Geometry; Knowledge of tooling and coordination
Skills/Abilities:Able to work quickly and efficiently throughProcess Improvementstructure; Good verbal and written communication;Strongattention to detailandaccuraterecord keeping
Education/Certification:High School Diplomaor equivalent
Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limitedto:eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

Salary range: $25.95 to $43.13 . Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
