About The Role

  • Our Bolt and Cruise Origin automated platforms enable Cruise to offer meaningful improvements to our communities and the customers we serve.
  • You would work cross-functionally with the different Cruise teams and occasionally partners on the GM and Honda teams, to help pragmatically work on these challenges and enable the successful delivery of these products.
  • In this role you will be the driving force behind building the AV Platform that is used to fuel our AV Software Stack.
  • We are looking for an exceptional engineer with a background in platforms for autonomy systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop strategy and vision towards holistic AV Platform.
  • Lead technical design for System Degradation and Safe Stops.
  • Experience with development of software for automotive SoC systems and networks.
  • Hands-on experience with operating systems and distributed computing frameworks for automotive and robotic systems.
  • Experience in System Engineering of AV Systems.

What You Must Have

  • Hands-on experience in developing software in C++.
  • Experience in product improvement life-cycle.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to work on large, multi-party programs.
  • Familiar with formal development processes and ability to develop to these.

  • Knowledge of autonomous vehicle technology.

  • Familiarity with OEM vehicle development processes.
  • Experience with automation technologies.
  • Ability to be creative and nimble when faced with program challenges.

The salary range for this position is $234,700 - $345,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
