Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Network Engineer - Network DevOps Engineer SME (24-282) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. The candidate will serve as a Network and Enterprise Services (NES) DevOps Engineering SME responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the CI/CD Pipeline with tools like GitLab and Nexus.

Essential Functions:

1. Apply principles, theories, and concepts in their field and provide solutions to various complex problems.
2. Work without appreciable direction, and results are reviewed for desired results.
3. Function as the ARTs Subject Matter Expert and lead of the CI/CD Pipeline, Automation, Software Defined Networking, and other DevOps/NetOps related items.
4. Represent the organization with program leadership and the customer on significant technical matters.
5. Frequent internal and external customer contacts and represent the organization in providing solutions to complex technical issues.
6. Responsible for GitLab, assuring proper documentation, training, and reporting.
7. Work to improve the release processes utilized by the ART.
8. Develop, deploy, and maintain a CI/CD pipeline for the NES ART.
9. Create, maintain, and present KPIs and other metrics related to the CI/CD Pipeline.
10. Building, training, and maintaining automation scripts that replace manual processes.
11. Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills.
12. Detail-oriented and can follow processes.
13. Experience as a DevOps Engineer.

Basic Qualifications:

1. An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
2. 9 years' experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field; or 7 years' experience with a master's degree; or 13 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
3. Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher.
4. Establishing and following processes throughout project life cycles.
5. Create and maintain a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (Preferably Gitlab CI/CD).
6. Maintain a Hardware Configuration Management Plan.
7. Managing large data repositories of documents and folder structure.
8. Ansible experience and knowledge are required.
9. Utilizing tools such as Redhat, Ansible, Powershell, Bash, and Python.
10. Working in Jira and Confluence.
11. Knowledge of basic Network Engineering.
12. Experience creating and updating processes and procedures.
13. Developing KPIs, tracking other metrics, and creating reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Current and active Top Secret clearance is highly desired.
2. Experience in a DoD environment.
3. Prior C2BMC experience.
4. Must be able to travel to alternate work locations.

Salary Range:

$109,900 - $164,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers.
