Job Requirements / Description

The person will play a crucial role in our data team by managing, analyzing, and reporting data to influence decision-making across the company. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in business intelligence tools, GIS data manipulation, Excel, SQL, and a profound understanding of data structures.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Reporting:

o Utilize Looker and AWS Quicksight to create and manage robust BI reports and dashboards.

o Analyze complex datasets to uncover insights and inform company strategy.

o Deliver regular reports and ad hoc analyses with actionable recommendations.

2. GIS Data Management:

o Work with geographic information systems (GIS) data to provide spatial data insights.

o Integrate and analyze spatial data to support various business processes.

3. Excel and SQL Proficiency:

o Leverage advanced Excel skills for data analysis, including complex formulas, macros, and pivot tables.

o Develop and optimize SQL queries to manage and manipulate large datasets efficiently.

4. Data Infrastructure and Quality:

o Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve data structures and database design.

o Ensure data accuracy and integrity by establishing quality checks and balances.

5. Project Management:

o Lead and participate in projects, ensuring timelines, resources, and deliverables align with business objectives.

o Communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

· Minimum 4 years of experience in a data analysis role, particularly using business intelligence solutions.

· Advanced proficiency using Looker and AWS Quicksight.

· Advanced proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel.

· Knowledge of data structures, database management, and data warehousing.

· Demonstrated experience in developing BI solutions and interactive reports.

· Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

· Great understanding of and experience with GIS data and tools is preferred.
