Given the rapid growth in the Ed-tech sector, particularly in the last few years, our client intends to segway into its next phase of rapid growth, leveraging new-age technology to stay ahead of the curve and offer differentiated products with world-class delivery. Towards that, they are looking to hire next levels of Leaders. This is not one specific role but an intent to build and define key leadership roles in the Technology area.

These are crucial leadership roles that require a future-ready, dynamic Tech professional who is used to a high growth environment and comfortable in a VUCA culture having excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Leadership in technology areas across the three verticals - K-12, Higher Education & Corporate Learning.
  2. Manage teams & budgets depending on the area and may be responsible for managing P&L and key strategic clients.
  3. Work collaboratively with all peers to ensure organizational goals are met.
  4. Lead and manage the Application Development & Maintenance projects.
  5. Manage Software Development and IT teams to deliver software and architecture that meets user needs.
  6. Ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
  7. Oversee internal system - Infoweb, ensuring correct revenue recognition.
  8. Review new custom Technology projects to plan and coordinate delivery.
  9. Build positive and productive working relationships with customers.
  10. Manage scope changes and convert this to revenue from the customer.
  11. Analyze and troubleshoot delivery issues in a timely fashion.
  12. Ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries from the custom Technology team.
  13. Oversee daily activities of delivery team and provide direction and guidance.
  14. Act as primary contact for customer concerns and provide solutions.
  15. Analyze customer orders and set delivery priorities to meet timely delivery goals.
  16. Make critical business decisions in consultation with CDO/CTO.
  17. Proactively manage service performance to meet or exceed SLAs and contractual obligations.
  18. Drive operational accountability, continuous improvement and customer focus.
  19. Partner with Sales, Key Account Management and Product teams to identify and drive new business opportunities.
  20. Act as primary escalation point for daily operational issues.
  21. Guide and manage complex projects involving content and technology pieces.
  22. Identify and recommend process improvements to clients and the internal custom content delivery team.
  23. Drive technical innovation, best practices, and overall delivery excellence.

Qualifications:

The individual must have the capability to lead global teams, should be agile to growth and do things differently with the ability to navigate through unstructured thinking. They should possess good communication skills (Internal + external + US offices) and be able to work with both front-end (US) and back-end (India) teams.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 17+ years of experience in technology-related roles, including relevant work as a technical architect.
  • Strong experience in handling Application Development and Maintenance projects.
  • Experience working in an Agile-SCRUM environment using tools like Jira or equivalent.
  • Experience working with international customers (US and UK preferable).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels, from entry-level to senior leadership.
  • Proven strong relationship-building and communication skills with team members and business users.
  • Ability to coach and mentor internal teams and customers.
  • Highly motivated with excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
