ResponsibilitiesSeeking an mechanical engineer to design and construct a backscatter x-ray imaging system test stand. Candidate should be able to design in SolidWorks CAD software, procure or print prototype parts and construct prototype assemblies. The project is focused on integration of existing components into a working system as well as testing and operation for development projects. The candidate should be able to work independently, communicate designs, document progress, and present results.

- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
- Completed a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Must be able to commit 6 months starting in January 2024.
- Solid foundation in mechanical design and construction.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical design, prototyping and integration.
- Experience with Agile and SolidWorks CAD software.
