Senior Java Full Stack Developer
Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will work in a hybrid model combining remote and on-site work and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products. Your expertise in AWS SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java JavaScript and MySQL will be essential in driving the success of our projects.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Location: Chicago, IL.
*Candidate is required to be in the office 3 days a week*
Roles/ Responsibilities
* Involve in various phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work in a highly dynamic Agile environment
* Design and develop software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices
* Hands on AWS experience in EKS, ECS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, AWS Aurora Postgres, AWS logging and monitoring using Datadog, AWS Security groups, AWS MSK(Kafka)
* Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
* Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
* Adds value to team delivery and works with team to complete tasks to high quality and actively learns new skills.
Required qualifications:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* 6+ years of software development experience
* Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, Oracle, Kafka
* Experienced with AWS cloud technologies (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, terraform). AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification preferred.
* Good to have experience in any of the rules engine (Ex. Drools)
* Good to have experience in JPMC on-premises cloud (Gaia)
* Build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins
* Strong communication skills and experienced in delivering projects in Scrum agile methodology.
* Strong Analytical skills and problem-solving
* Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail oriented.
