We are looking for consultants for the below mentioned requirement:

Sr. ETL Developer

Duration: 6+ Months

MINIMUM 8+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Description

Sr. ETL Developer with expertise in Informatica Powercenter ETL, Cognos BI, and SSAS. The ideal candidate will possess strong data warehousing design skills, solid experience in Informatica and ETL data movement, knowledge of business intelligence architecture, and implementing best practices.

Skills and Abilities:

1. 8+ years of hands-on experience in administering, maintaining, and developing ETL and Business Intelligence environments using Informatica Powercenter.
2. Strong practical knowledge and understanding of data warehousing aspects including data modeling, ETL, SSAS cubes, and reporting.
3. Experience in developing and automating highly optimized ETL processes using Informatica ETL tool is a must.
4. High level of proficiency in database management systems (SQL Server and Oracle) is required.
5. Experience in designing and implementing multi-dimensional models, including the construction of data marts, dimensions, and cubes using SSAS is required.
6. Experience with production support operations with a strong sense of urgency to customer issues is a must.
7. Strong knowledge in designing and developing dimensions and facts using dimensional modeling and STAR schema standards is required.
8. Experience in collaborating directly with business users to gather requirements and come up with system solutions is a must.
9. Strong understanding and proficiency in project management, especially in Agile methodology, is required.
10. Deep experience implementing ETL principles and best practices, including error handling, logging & alerting, scheduling, and job control is required.
11. Demonstrated proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and best practices.
12. Thorough understanding of data architecture and database designs (ERD diagrams) is a must.
13. Strong writing and presentation skills that facilitate user requirements/design discussions and design reviews are required.

Nice to Have:

1. Working with JDE ERP systems is a huge plus.
2. Working knowledge of Cognos reporting tools is a huge plus.
3. Experience working in manufacturing and biotech companies is a plus.
4. Working knowledge of SalesForce is desired.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
2. 8 years of extensive experience in Data Warehousing, databases, and BI tools and technologies.
3. 5 or more years of experience using relational databases e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
