DevOps Engineer

Opening with our local client for a DevOps Engineer.

Responsibilities

1. Work directly with the DevOps team and Senior DevOps manager to test system integrity
2. Implement integrations requested by customers
3. Deploy updates and fixes
4. Provide Level 2 technical support
5. Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
6. Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
7. Perform root cause analysis for production errors
8. Investigate and resolve technical issues
9. Develop scripts to automate visualization
10. Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
2. Prior work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
3. Proven experience with public cloud deployments
4. Experience with Docker and container orchestration software (Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, etc.)
5. Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins
6. Team player
7. Good time-management skills
8. Interpersonal and communication skills
