Senior DevOps Engineer
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing SaaS technology company as a Senior DevOps Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the deployment and management of DevOps practices across Azure and GCP, utilizing Kubernetes for orchestration to ensure robust, scalable service deployment.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the consistent and secure provisioning of cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop technical specifications, and implement solutions that enhance security, streamline workflows, and provide clear visibility into our systems.
- Oversee technology and software development projects, ensuring they align with DevOps principles and infrastructure engineering practices.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project teams, leveraging your Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes expertise to foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Develop and maintain tools and processes to automate repetitive tasks, focusing on continuous integration and deployment pipelines to facilitate high-velocity delivery and reduce manual interventions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using automation and DevOps best practices to enhance system resilience and operational productivity.
- Implement advanced CI/CD practices integrated with Azure and GCP to ensure the continuous delivery and deployment of software applications.
- Work closely with development teams to optimize the release process, ensuring fast and error-free deployments through automated pipelines.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, focusing on enhancements in cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
- Adopt and advocate for advanced monitoring solutions like Dynatrace to effectively monitor applications and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
This opportunity is a contract-to-hire (6 to 12 months) position. You can live anywhere EST, CST, or MST and work 100% remotely. Once a quarter, you may need to travel to Dallas for a team meeting. We prefer candidates in the Dallas area where we have an office.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 7+ years as a DevOps Engineer, or 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer if you have a Computer Science Degree from a top-tier university
- A well-rounded DevOps Engineer is required because our DevOps Engineers wear multiple hats (deployment, monitoring, SRE, platform management, mentoring, project management, etc.)
- 2+ years of strong GCP or Azure experience but will consider AWS if strong in all of the other required skills
- 2+ years of Kubernetes in a production environment
- 2+ years of Terraform in a production environment
- Helm

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

- Branching Strategies
- Experience ensuring continuous, high-velocity delivery and automated deployment through software provisioning, configuration management, source code management, and team collaboration applications
- Proficiency in developing automation scripts and procedures in procedural or other scripting languages
- Demonstrated experience with cloud monitoring platforms
- Strong scripting capabilities in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership in guiding teams and promoting a collaborative work environment
