The Video Applications QA team is seeking a Software QA Engineer to help test our video applications on macOS and iOS software, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.

Description

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills, and the willingness to work in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include planning, designing, maintaining, and executing test cases with minimal direction. You should be able to test manually and with automation, report bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques, and manage a wide variety of deliverables effectively. Comfort with ambiguity and making educated, critical judgments in the absence of complete requirements is essential. Your ongoing curiosity and dedication to self-education in video and photo technologies as well as new testing techniques will set you apart.

Minimum Qualifications

• Mandatory photography and videography post-production experience.
• Mandatory iOS and macOS testing experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Software QA Engineer.
• Understanding of SDLC and SQA methodologies and practices such as planning, requirements analysis, testing, and deployment.
• Inquisitive and able to investigate and debug difficult software issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Thrive in a collaborative organization, that's fast-paced and dynamic, and can clearly communicate technical problems to software teams and management.
• Meticulous, analytical, methodical, and creative problem solver committed to driving quality forward.
• Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines.
• Experience in traditional graphic design.
• Experience with SDR/HDR, Color Correction, and photographic workflows.

Additional Requirements

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $140,700 and $280,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
