The Engineer Apprentice provides mechanical skilled trade support as assigned the Chief Engineer on property.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The LaSalle Chicago, Autograph Collection located on South LaSalle Street in the heart of Chicago's financial district, is a 229-room luxury hotel occupying the top five floors of a historic landmark building. It sits atop the JW Marriott Hotel, which occupies the first 12 stories of the former Continental Bank building.

Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Typically requires accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 0 to 2 years of experience.
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
- Inspects and performs mechanical installation/maintenance/repair on systems as required.
- Troubleshoots and addresses repairs and maintenance.
- Orders and organizes parts supplies and equipment necessary to complete jobs effectively.
- Supports and assists Chief Engineer with estimating and invoicing.
- Documents the installation/maintenance/repairs performed and ensures accordance with procedure.
- Operates power tools and may use chemicals that require safety training.
