Software Engineer

Job Description

Along with the Core team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting a drilling automation system (NOVOS). As an Agile team member you will work in a continuous integrated system, review peer's code, and become a trusted dependable teammate. We are looking for applicants who like to work in an open, energetic, collaborative environment, and is looking for an opportunity to work on a high performing team.

Desired Skills And Experience

• College degree in Computer Science or related field
• C++ proficiency
• Comfortable on command line and Linux environment
• Good understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Good analytical or trouble shooting skills
• Understand Source Version Control concepts
  
  
  

• Contribute and maintain an existing code base.
• Collaborate with leads and developers to architect, implement and build robust new features.
• Participate in analyzing, trouble shooting field issues.
• Write clean and efficient code.
  
  
  

• A Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field (or combined with related experience).
• Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment, deadlines and new challenges.
• Experience with version control systems like Git, a plus.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools like GitHub, a plus.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of professional standards and quality.
• Creativity and flexibility, high energy, strong work ethic and strong problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas to business users and other teams.
• Ability to both collaborate with team members and to work independently.
